Based out of Saskatoon, the ‘Youth Action Now’ Project Co-ordinator
(PC) is responsible for the overall co-ordination of the Youth Action
Now project and other duties necessary to meet project objectives.
The PC will report directly to the UCC-SPC Executive Director.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Overall co-ordination of the Youth Action Now project; Chair
of executive committee
- Manage project budgeting and finances, reporting to UCC-SPC
Executive Director
- Assist in identifying of youth facilitators, participating
schools and cultural/youth groups
- Responsible for overall co-ordination of project gathering
in Regina in spring 2005
- Co-ordinate Train-the-Trainer program
- Develop and implement project marketing plan
- Responsible for completion of project reports as may be required
by project funders
- Provide monthly progress reports to Executive Committee
- Develop project policy, procedures, guidelines and monitor
results with Executive Committee
- Act as YAN spokesperson
SKILLS, TRAINING, OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with and/or understanding youth, multicultural and
diversity issues
- Ability to work with Microsoft Windows XP OS, MS Office applications
- Experience with project management
- Experience with budgeting and financial management
- Media relations experience
- Strong communication skills (oral, written)
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Valid driver’s licence / own vehicle
SALARY - Commensurate with experience.

for the co-ordination of the Youth Action Now youth forums and other
duties necessary to meet project objectives. The YFC will report
to the Project Co-ordinator and Executive Committee.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Co-ordination of the YAN youth forums; sit as member of executive
committee
- Manage project budgeting related to youth forums
- Identify youth facilitators, participating schools and cultural/youth
groups
- Assist with and participate in Train-the-Trainer program
- Participate in Youth Advisory Council, assist with organising
YAC meetings
- Provide monthly progress reports to Executive Committee
- Assist in developing project policy and procedures, guidelines
and monitoring results
SKILLS, TRAINING, OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication skills (oral, written)
- Experience working with youth
- Ability to work with Microsoft Windows XP OS, MS Office applications
- Experience with project management
- Media relations experience
