UCC-SPC hires Translation and Interpretation Services Coordinator

August 21, 2009 -- The Ukrainian Canadian Congress
- Saskatchewan Provincial Council is pleased to announce that George
Zerebecky has been hired as the Translation and Interpretation Services
Coordinator. George brings a
wealth of project planning, coordination and management experience
from his work in and with the volunteer community as well as from
his previous work as an Educational Consultant with the Saskatchewan
Department of Learning. He has extensive travel and work experience
in Ukraine and has strong language skills in Ukrainian and English
along with capacity in French, Russian and German.
In this role, George will focus on building UCC-SPC’s ability to
provide translation and interpretation services for Ukrainian newcomers,
their families and other stakeholders; developing the organization’s
province-wide pool of qualified translators and interpreters; coordinating
access to translation/ interpretation services for clients across
Saskatchewan; exploring partnerships with other agencies/stakeholders;
and, preparing and coordinating relevant Ukrainian-language settlement
resources.
We welcome George to the UCC-SPC team as we grow to better serve
Saskatchewan’s Ukrainian community.
